Bharati Shipyard Q1 Net Profit up 25.49% to Rs. 37.25 crore
Total order book stands at Rs. 5065.5 Crore

Bharati Shipyard Limited, one of the leading Private Sector Shipyards in India, has reported 25.49% rise in its Net Profit to Rs 37.25 crore for the period April to June 2009, as compared to Rs 29.68 crore during the corresponding period last year. The total turnover increased 48.27% to Rs 304.49 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2009 as against Rs. 205.37 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2008.

Commenting on the excellent performance, Mr. P. C. Kapoor, Managing Director, BSL, said: “Primary reason for the increase in revenue was higher execution rate of our order book during the quarter.”

Highlights of Financial Results for Quarter ended June 30, 2009-

  • Total Turnover rises 48.27% to Rs 304.49 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2009 as against Rs. 205.37 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2008.
  • Net Profit rises 25.49% to Rs. 37.25 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2009 as compared to Rs. 29.68 crores for the quarter ended 30th June 2008.
  • The EBITDA increased 41.93% to Rs. 56.28 crores for quarter ended 30th June 2009 compared to Rs. 39.65 crore for quarter ended 30th June 2008.

“The order reflects faith of international customers in our offshore expertise and the high confidence that we at BSL enjoy from our global customers. Our total order book now stands at Rs. 5065.5 crores,” Mr. Kapoor added.
