| The first-ever international two-wheeler show “Bikex India” showcasing modified bikes, electric two-wheelers, bicycles, mopeds, accessories and choppers (stunt bikes) started today at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, but domestic majors were conspicuous by their absence.

| The dedicated two-wheeler expo with 100 participating companies, including 20 overseas firms, did not have a single major player except Hero Honda, which participated with its entire range.

| Other bigger players such as Bajaj, Honda Motorcycle, Yamaha, Kinetic and TVS Motor reportedly backed out at the last moment.

| Sunstar Exposition Director Anil K Baali, said, “We had got commitment from large number of industry players, but for unknown reasons they preferred to stay away. But we have the industry leader Hero Honda, and over 20 major companies from China, Germany, Taiwan, Spain and France which have brought their latest products here.”

| The three-day expo will have a vintage show having 50 two-wheelers of the bygone era as well as a cycle marathon on Saturday on a special fast track.

| According to the organisers, over 2.5 lakh visitors are expected to visit the expo till Sunday. |
