Syngene International, a subsidiary of Bangalore-based biotech major Biocon Ltd, today announced that it has been officially accredited by the AAALAC International (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International).    

The AAALAC International accreditation programme evaluates organisations that use animals in research, teaching or testing. Those that meet or exceed AAALAC standards are awarded accreditation, the company said in a statement.
