| BJP invoking Vajpayee's oratory to motivate cadres |

 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is invoking the nostalgia of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s fine oratory in its campaign film which is targeted at motivating party cadres for the coming general elections.
“Andhera chhatega, suraj niklega, kamal khilega” (the darkness will go away; the sun will shine and the lotus will bloom) — Vajpyee’s invocation at the BJP’s session on April 6, 1980 — is the opening shot of the film entitled “Team Advani” which has been cleared by the Election Commission for the party’s campaign recently.
Vajpayee had uttered those lines on the first foundation day of the party in Delhi. The film projects his thoughts as “historic prediction that has come true”.
The two-minute film made by Frank Simoes-Tag and Utopia Consulting focuses on Advani and all the senior leaders of the party, who “would take India to great heights”, if voted to power this time. The film would be sold through party outlets and would be available in the market as well. The party would also use it for the media campaign.
The film also projects LK Advani, the party’s prime ministerial candidate, as a leader with “iron hands” (Fauladi Baazu), while his team comprises leaders including Jaswant Singh, MM Joshi, Arun Jaitley, Venkaiah Naidu, Sushma Swaraj and all the chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states. The title song of the film is replete with “Atal” (unshakable) as it invokes the memories of Vajpayee, who is unable to come out for campaigning due to his poor health.
