In the clearest signal yet that the BJP is preparing for mid-term polls, former Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief Ajit Doval delivered a lecture to party MPs in Parliament on the intricacies of internal security.
The BJP has already declared its intention of fighting the next General Election on the platform of providing a stable government and internal security issues.
“Ajit Doval spoke for around half an hour, but could not complete the lecture. We will be asking him to lecture again,” said BJP parliamentary party spokesperson V K Malhotra.
A first-time BJP MP described the lecture as “very good”, giving a “real feeling” of what it was that internal security depended upon.
