Col Kochhar told that on the basis of feedback from the overseas buyers (the company exports to Canada, U.S.A., Belgium, Amsterdam, Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangla Desh) the new format of packaging was decided that would be the same for the domestic market.

Kochhar added that contrary to the other businesses those were effected by the economic slowdown, the beauty business was on upswing. "It seems people now have more time to visit saloons and we do not see a meltdown in our business."

"We are steadfast on our expansion and of the 200 day spas we announced we have opened 14 and 6 were in the pipeline", he said.

He added that they focused north India for their salon business and Chennai would be their first venture in down south. Once we are establised there it would be easier to spread our opreations in the near-by towns.

Kochhar told that the company clocked in an export turnover of about Rs 8 cr last year and is projected to double its exports in the next financial year with the launch of new range and new pacakging.

According to Kochhar the company registered a turnover of Rs 30 cr last year.

He told that they were exporting to the dedicated buyers so did not fear the impact of fianacial meldown on their export business.

According to Kochhar the company registered a turnover of Rs 30 cr last year.

He apprised that the first training institute would be opened in Jallandhar very shortly.
