| The major government organisations associated with IBC include CPWD, MES, Railways, HUDCO, CBRI, DDA and state PWDs.

| It has on its roll 67 institutional members and more than 2300 individual members.

| Speaking on the occasion, P Krishnan, head of technical committee, said, "Post-earthquake government buildings have sustained in Gujarat. It is necessary to see money is spent well in durable building. With globalization important tools of management should be applied efficiently."

| B Majumdar, chairman of IBC, said, "Yes there is a clear vigilance from the Centre that lowest tender should be considered but here it means lowest workable rate." |
