Camlin Fine Chemicals FY 09 Profit Before Tax up by 24.96%

  • Announces audited financial results for FY 09
  • PBT up by 24.96 % to Rs. 520.52 Lacs 
  • EBIDTA up by 14 % to Rs. 1475.11 Lacs
  • Gross Sales/Income from Operations up by 24.98 %

Camlin Fine Chemicals Ltd., the de-merged entity of Camlin group in July, 2006, crossed an important milestone of Rs. 100 crore in March, 2009, recording growth of 24.98 % in spite of global recession and fluctuation in currency. Camlin Fine Chemicals is the world’s largest manufacturer of Food Grade Antioxidants TBHQ and BHA.

Camlin Fine Chemicals Ltd., today announced its financial results for the year ended March 31st, 2009. The company posted profit before tax of Rs. 520.52 Lacs, EBIDTA of Rs. 1475.11 Lacs and announced that the sales/Income from operations have grown by 24.95 %.

Performance highlights for the Quarterly results:

  • EBIDTA stood at Rs. 1475.11 Lacs during the year ended 31st March, 2009 as against Rs. 1294.02 Lacs during the same period of previous year, thereby registering a growth of 14 %.
  • Profit before tax stood at Rs. 520.52 Lacs during the year ended 31st March, 2009 as against Rs.416.56 Lacs during the same period of previous year, thereby registering a growth of 24.96%.
  • Gross Sales/Income from Operations stood at Rs. 10276.15 Lacs during the year ended 31st March, 2009 as against Rs. 8221.67 Lacs during the same period of previous year, thereby registering a growth of 24.98 %.

Announcing the results, Mr. Ashish Dandekar, managing director of Camlin Fine Chemicals said, “The company has laid out a growth strategy for the coming years based on enhancing the market share of existing core products, expanding the range of products to cater to wider areas of the food, health and alternative energy segments and also focusing on the development of technology for specialty chemicals with specialized applications with In-House R & D and Technology support.”
