State-run Canara Bank today received the National Award for its role in supporting the khadi and village industries sector in the southern zone.

The Bangalore-based lender was conferred the award in two categories — Best Bank under Prime Minister's Employment Guarantee Programme and Best Bank under the Interest Subsidy Eligibility Certification scheme.
