Working non-stop throughout the night of October 16-17, a team of 70 CESC engineers, jointers and workers restored the high-tension cable (HTC) fault near Howrah Maidan on October 17 .
According to a release issued by CESC, the fault was located after a search lasting several hours. After locating the fault late in the night, a CESC team thereafter went ahead with the repair work on a warfooting.
Following a HTC fault on October 16 morning, seven CESC transformers in the Howrah Maidan area tripped, causing supply disruption to about 5000 consumers.
