Chennai Petroleum Corporation today reported a decline of 22 per cent in its net profit at Rs 272 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009.     

The company had a net profit of Rs 343.92 crore in March 2008, Chennai Petroleum Corporation said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

For the year ended March 31, 2009, the company has posted a net loss of Rs 397.28 crore, while it had a net profit of Rs 1,122.95 crore the previous fiscal.
