In an administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government has shifted 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials including seven District Collectors. The District Collectors of both the industry-dominated districts of Korba and Raigarh have been transferred in the reshuffle. Ashok Agrawal, the District Collector of Korba, will be the new Collector of Raigarh district, replacing Manish Kumar Tyagi, who has been shifted to State Secretariat as special secretary with housing and environment department.
Rajpal Singh Tyagi, the District Collector of Dhamtari, has been transferred to Korba in the same capacity. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raipur Development Authority, Amit Kataria will replace Tyagi in Dhamtari.
The Kabeerdham Collector, Sidharth Komal Pardeshi would be the new Collector of Rajnandgaon replacing Rohit Yadav, who had been shifted to the State Capital as Director Employment and Training with additional charge of Director Technical Education. Bastar Zilla Panchayat CEO R Sangeetha will be the new Collector of Kawardha. Janjgir-Champa Collector Trilok Chand Mahawar has been made Joint Secretary, Agriculture while Deputy Secretary to the Governor Brijesh Chandra Mishra will replace him.
Kanker Collector Avinash Champawat has been transferred as Deputy Secretary with the department of Finance. Deputy Commissioner N K Xaxa will replace him as the Collector of Kanker.
