Information technology company Cognizant has appointed S Venkatramani as head of business for India and emerging markets.

He joins Cognizant from one of India’s largest IT services organisations, where he was the head of the company’s India business unit, responsible for its revenues, profit and loss and operations and sales across BFSI, manufacturing, telecom, retail, utilities and infrastructure verticals.
 
Venkatramani was also the past Co-Chairman of CII’s IT Committee (Western Region) and Co-Chairperson of IT at The Bombay Chambers of Commerce.
