Commodity shares boosts US markets, Indian ADRs mixed

Rising commodity prices boosted Wall Street, with shares of big multinational companies reaping in tge benefits.

The Dow added 97 points (1%) to 8,500. The Nasdaq gained 23 points (1%) at 1,774.

Indian ADRs were mixed on Friday.

Sterlite surged 4.5% to $13.17. Infosys rallied 3.5% to $34.56.

Genpact, HDFC Bank and Wipro added over 2% each to $10.46, $99.5 and $11.8, respectively.

ICICI Bank moved up 1.5% to $31.14.

Meanwhile, Tata Communications slumped 9.5% to $18.9. Tata Motors shed 4% to $9.68.

Satyam and Dr Reddy's slipped over 2% each to $2.12 and $13.44, respectively.

Patni Computers and MTNL were flat.
