DAVV withdraws doctorate degree conferred on Ramalinga Raju

An honorary doctorate degree conferred on Satyam Computer's tainted founder B Ramalinga Raju by the Devi Ahilyabai Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) has been withdrawn by the university following his alleged involvement in the Rs 7,800 crore Satyam scam.
The process to withdraw the degree conferred on Raju was intitiated soon after his arrest in the multi-crore scam, DAVV sources said today.
