On Friday, DCW gained 13 per cent to close at Rs 13.66 after touching a high of Rs 14.13. Over 22 lakh shares were traded on the BSE. The stock has gained 16 per cent over the past week and by 25 per cent in the past month.
The company plans to invest Rs 525 crore for capacity expansion and for by-products to augment the bottomline. It plans augment its caustic soda production from 60,000 to 1,00,000 tonne per annum.
It also expects to cut electricity consumption by about 30 per cent. Moreover, it also plans to increase synthetic rutile production.
