Low cost carrier Deccan (erstwhile Air Deccan) has launched tele check-in facility for all its passengers at all of its 65 destinations.
In a release, Ramki Sundaram, officiating CEO, Deccan said: “We are moving towards a paradigm shift in our product and service offering to match our passenger expectations. Our tele check- in facility will help our passengers manage congestion both inside and outside the airport. While other airlines restrict tele check-in facility to an 'elite' group of passengers, at Deccan we believe that our facilities should be inclusive for all our passengers and encourage more people to experience Deccan.”
He further added “While our extensive connectivity and affordable fares have made us the preferred airline for leisure travelers, we intend to attract more corporate travelers based on suitable flight schedule, timings.”
Passengers flying to any destination and carrying only one cabin bag, can tele check-in from 24 hours up to two hours prior to the time of departure. Passengers who have tele checked in must report to the airport at least 45 minutes before departure to collect their boarding cards. The facility is available from October 6, 2007 by dialling a centralised tele check-in number 39008888 (IVR 5).
