Showkut Ally Soodun, the minister of commerce and industries of Mauritius, who was in India to attend an agreement-signing ceremony between Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals and STC Mauritius, was full of praise for Jitin Prasada, the minister of state for petroleum. He said that Prasada was good-looking enough to be an actor. “Agar ye mere desh me hote to inhe actor ka role sabse pehle milta (If he were in Mauritius, he would have got a chance to be an actor)”, he said. Interestingly, Soodun started his speech in Hindi while all the delegates from the Indian government spoke in English. During the course of his speech, he said that he had been in politics for 25 years and his hair was black only because he dyed it.
