| Disney Channel brings singing sensation Shaan on popular tween show Ishaan |

Disney Channel is all set to introduce yet another fun treat for fans on their favorite show Ishaan -- the first musical on Indian Television for Tweens and their families.
Singer Shaan will soon be seen in a special appearance on the show in his newest avatar --- not as a singer but as an actor who meets lead characters Ishaan, Pulkit, Ron, Mandy and Munmun when they visit a recording studio. The gang runs into Shaan (or so they think!) while trying to get their act together and record a song in 15 mins! Is it really their favorite singer Shaan or Vignesh Bhai (as he claims to be)? Fans can find out for themselves by tuning into “Ishaan”, every Saturday and Sunday at 10 am, only on Disney Channel.
“One of the key offerings of Ishaan has been the engaging music and endearing characters. It is our aim to delight kids and families through an engaging story and by bringing their favorite personalities on screen as a part of the show” says Arnab Chaudhuri, Director Content and Creative, Walt Disney Television International India.
“Shaan is an extremely popular singer as well as an icon for kids and youth of today. Shaan, kids and music just fit well and we are happy to bring him to Ishaan for Disney Channel fans. Ishaan fans will have more such treats in the future as well” adds Arnab.
About the show:
“Ishaan” is the inspiring musical journey of a boy who finds friends and a sense of belonging through music. Extremely intelligent and talented, Ishaan finds his true calling and his friends through music when he joins a school band “Yaari”. Ishaan’s story showcases the triumph of friendship and passion over ambition, set in the backdrop of music. The ensemble cast stars talented new comers Tapasvi Mehta as Ishaan, Anisa as Shyla, Nakul Sahdev as Kabir, Farhina Parvez as Mun Mun, Kishen Savjani as Ron, Ayaz Ahmad as Pulkit and Rohan Shah as Mandy. Other cast includes well known television personalities Shruti Ulfat, Rajinder Mehra and Rajiv Paul. The music directors are Dhruv Ghanekar (of Drona fame) and R. Anandh, who has garnered many laurels for his jingles in leading brand’s television commercials. “Ishaan” was created by well-known writer Jaydeep Sarkar and is being directed by Iqbal Rizvi.
