| The new 50:50 joint venture, DDRC Wellspring, will be formally launched on September 29.

| Addressing a press conference here, Joy Joseph Kizhakebhagam, chairman, DDRC, said that the new alliance would bring in world-class technology and expertise in the field of medical diagnosis.

| All the 34 centres of DDRC across the state are ready to provide super speciality investigations in cytogenetics, immunohistochemistry, pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, virology, immunology and radiology.

| Wellspring has a presence in 40 major cities and towns of the country with three centres of excellence in histopathology.

| |
| The new venture will also set up a specimen collection mobile team comprising 30 members to make available the services in more areas across the state. A mobile laboratory and 24-hour ambulance service are also on the anvil.

| He also said that the new company would open centres in Tamil Nadu besides consolidating its leadership position in Kerala. |
