| Amidst speculation over a possible change of guard, Dunlop India Ltd was likely to submit the revised rehabilitation package to Appellate Authority for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (AAIFR) in first week of December.

| The last date of the submission of the revised scheme is 14 December.

| The Jumbo group controlled ailing Dunlop was already running two months behind schedule as it was supposed to submit the report to AAIFR on October 4.

| Sources in the Jumbo group informed that National Productivity Council (NPC) was preparing the revised report.

| NPC would submit the report to the Dunlop management next week.

| "We are expecting the report on November 30. We shall submit the report to AAIFR through the operating agency SBI in first week of December," a top-level source said.

| According to the source, the Dunlop India board was likely to meet in first week of December once it received the report from NPC.

| Jumbo group had initiated discussions with some prospective buyers for selling its tyre business, but was yet to finalise on the price.

| Earlier, at the company's annual general meeting, P Balakrishnan, director, had said the company was working on the rehabilitation and would table the revised plan on October 4, the date of AAFIR hearing.

| It would incorporate the council's recommendations in the revised rehabilitation scheme.

| Balakrishnan mentioned the scope of the study would cover the market impact of the starting of operations as also the factory premises.

| Dunlop recently infused Rs 26 crore towards the rehabilitation of the company.

| The company entered into a one-time settlement with most of its bankers like United Bank of India, Standard Chartered, Allhabad Bank, HSBC and State Bank of India and was set to start negotiations with the rest of its creditors.

| At present, Dunlop had 13 executives.
