EasiOption targets $11 million by 2012
BS Reporter / Mumbai/ Pune Sep 23, 2009, 00:27 IST

UK-based financial services group Kent Reliance Building Society (KRBS) has said, it plans to generate $11 million (Rs 53 crore approx) revenue from its newly launched India BPO unit EasiOption by year 2012. The firm would outsource sports and entertainment business to India along with business from a number of financial services clients.

EasiOption has inaugurated a 500-seater BPO unit in Pune, which would organise sports events in UK and other European destinations. It would also serve as back office for smaller financial services firms in UK and neighbouring nations.

Speaking to Business Standard , EasiOption BPO Services managing director Yogesh Agarwal said, "Organising football events and other sport events in Europe is a costly affair. If sale of tickets, corporate boxes and advertising is done through India , the events make generate excellent profit margins. This is a new business vertical and not explored by BPO player in India ."

KRBS is a Rs 25,000 crore financial services group from UK . It runs its back-office operations from India through a fully-owned subsidiary Easiprocess based in Bangalore . Easiprocess was set up in 2005 and presently does a business worth $2.5 million (Rs 12 crore approx) and has a workforce of more than 160.

EasiOption marks the KRBS group's entry in BPO business for clients engaged in financial and legal sectors along with sports and entertainment verticals. "We are planning to set up a BPO that would serve clients needing even one or two service-professionals. We want to serve smaller clients instead of servicing one client that needs 100 professionals," added KRBS group CEO Mike Lazenby.

During the first year of establishment, EasiOption BPO Service aims at generating approximately $2.5 million to $3 million (Rs 14 crore approx) revenue, which would subsequently touch $11 million by 2012. When the BPO unit acquires the additional 500 capacity unit, the revenue would touch $25 million mark. EasiOption plans to get the 500-seater-capacity fully operational immediately.
