EC Media International launches an exciting new magazine application

MagsonWink will have 25 of India’s leading magazines at launch including OPEN, Tehelka etc synchronized with the application

EC Media International Private Limited, one of India’s exciting new entities in the digital space and a thought leader revolutionizing the digital-content combine, today announced the availability of its first eReadermagazine application in India. MagsonWink, will be launched at the renowned Delhi Book Fair. The MagsonWink will launch with 25 of India’s leading magazines including OPEN, Tehelka and many regional language magazines. The new eReader application has been specifically designed for iPad and Android gadget users all over the world.

Contents from the most recent editions can be read whenever desired by application users. It allows users to search and preview magazines including individual sections, articles, table of contents, etc. Taking this ahead, EC Media International plans to include integration of over 150 Indian newspapers and magazines on MagsonWink application by mid 2011.

Most importantly the application supports multiple language magazines with different customizable options such as zoom text, pictures and save favorite articles feature. The MagsonWink application and the Enhanced Content feature is a free download from WinkStore. Apple iPad users can also download MagsonWink from the application store on Apple. 

EC Media International, in August 2010, also launched www.thewinkstore.com India’s first comprehensive reading platform which currently has 350,000 books including titles from fifteen Indian languages.

Announcing the launch, Mr. Ravi DeeCee, Founder and Director, DC Group, said: “India’s increasing population of readers is always looking for content optimization. With the MagsonWink application, users can purchase a single magazine issue, a subscription or even individual stories/articles from the magazine. Once a subscription is purchased, the application is built intelligently to allow automatic downloads of future issues for the users. Accessing and consuming content on the go is now made possible by fully integrating personal reading choice of consumers”.

“Rich graphic capabilities of the Enhanced Content eBook series and the MagsonWink application will enable an uptake of the reading habit for the new age readers in India. Taking this experience forward, we are happy to be announcing the first ever collation of Hindi book content availability on the digital space with over 1000 Hindi books from across genres and titles available for users on WINK,” he continued.

In addition, EC Media International will also announce the launch of its Enhanced Content series meant for the iPad users. This will be an exciting feature specially for children who are voracious book lovers. The Enhanced Content series will allow children to experience colorful graphics, pictures, animations, sounds and audio/read back features.iPad users can enjoy the eReading experience that will now be enhanced containing games, puzzles, quizzes and other interactive features meant for children. Via this feature, EC Media International will launch over 150 books including epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata and other all-time children favorites.
