| Edible oils rise on steady demand |

Groundnut oil prices rose moderately at the oils and oilseeds market here today on renewed demand from retailers amidst lower arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein also firmed up further on higher consumer demand. Castorseed futures market advanced sharply owing to sustained export orders.
Meanwhile, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil held steady in the absence of worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible oil segment, groundnut oil gained by Rs 5 per 10 kgs to Rs 765 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 760 and refined palmolein moved up by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 530 as against Rs 526 previously.
Moving to futures section, castorseed December delivery resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,823 and hardened further to a high of Rs 3,890 before closing at Rs 3,881 from Rs 3,819 yesterday, showing a sharp rise of  Rs 62 per tonne.
Turning to non-edible section, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial and linseed oil all were unchanged at Rs 4,025, Rs 835 and Rs 600 respectively.
