| EID Parry Q4 net doubles to Rs 92 crore |

City-headquartered EID Parry India, part of the Murugappa Group, today reported a consolidated turnover of Rs 1,112.27 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, as against Rs 814.84 crore in the same period last year.
The company reported a consolidated PAT (Profit After Tax) of Rs 92.11 crore for the quarter as against Rs 41.15 crore, a company press release said.The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of Rs six per equity share, it said.
For the year ended March 31, 2009 the company reported a consolidated turnover of Rs 10,158.39 crore as against Rs 4,581.61 crore in the corresponding period last year, it said.
The consolidated PAT for the year ended March 31, 2009 stood at Rs 1,163.49 crore as against Rs 182.98 crore.The company's sugar division made a profit of Rs 56.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2009 as against Rs 13.01 crore in the same period of last year.
During the quarter, the 20 MW Cogeneration project was started at Pettavaittalai while the distillery unit at Sivaganga to produce value added alcohol from molasses also commenced production, the release added.
