Era Infra to construct permanent township at Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project

Era Infra Engineering Ltd. (BSE script code: 530323 and Script ID: ERAINFRA), through its construction and contracts division, today announced that it has secured another contract worth Rs 117.84 cr from Aravali Power Company Private Limited (a JV between NTPC, HPGCL and IPGCL) to construct a permanent township at the Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project, Jhajjar. The cost is excluding the cost of cement and steel. The project work will be completed within 24 calendar months from the issue of letter of award.

Era Infra Engineering, in July 2007 received the first contract for the Construction of Main Plant and Offsite Civil Works package from Aravali Power Company Private Ltd. worth Rs 285 cr at Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project Jhajjar. The construction work is in full swing and is scheduled to be completed by 2011. The plant once commissioned will generate and supply 1500 MW electricity.

The total value of both these contracts is more than Rs 800 crores approximately if we include the cost of cement and steel. NTPC proposes to complete the project during the Eleventh Plan period.
