Evalueserve seeks R&D alliances
Pradipta Mukherjee / Kolkata Aug 29, 2008, 05:09 IST

Evalueserve, the global knowledge partner and market research company, plans to get into information technology (IT) services in terms of building IT platforms for research collaboration.

It is also looking at what it calls ‘knowledge technology’, to create an IT platform for client companies.

Knowledge Technology is expected to help Evalueserve cater to clients that may want to transfer or collaborate research data of different domains for a more comprehensive report.

Speaking on the sidelines of IT symposium organised by IIFT in Kolkata, Shobhana Muralidharan, CTO, Evaluserve, said, “We have hired 60 software professionals to build the IT platform for us. This platform will be used to build research collaboration portals for our existing and new clients. Moving into IT and building a platform was necessary because we are now looking at specialised research and also customised reports.”

The company is also looking at building research collaboration portals for its existing clients so that areas of different domain areas, for instance intellectual property and legal practices, could be merged to create a larger resource pool.

Simultaneously, Evalueserve is eyeing a 45 per cent revenue growth, on the back of new lines of services and specialised services for clients.

“We want to strengthen our local presence by opening offices in countries like Chile and China. We will also build language capabilities to serve local markets. This should make our clients more comfortable with us as we could provide the research in local language in addition to other languages,” Muralidharan said.

Evalueserve is also looking at setting up centres of excellence for employees to specialise in respective domain areas. “We will set up centres of excellence in Gurgaon itself. These would provide our employees the option to specialise in their areas of interest,” informed Muralidharan.
