Energy shares and a drop in crude oil futures dragged the US markets down on Monday.
The Dow shed 201 points (2.3%) to 8,339. The Nasdaq dropped 61 points (3.3%) to 1,766.
Tata Communications, Sterlite and HDFC Bank slumped 7% each to $17.86, $11.44 and $97.06, respectively.
Wipro and Tata Motors plunged 6% each to $10.66 and $9.13, respectively. ICICI Bank shed 5.5% to $28.2.
Genpact slipped 4.5% to $11.33. Infosys dropped 3% to $35.07.
However, MTNL gained 4.5% at $3.76.
