The Sensex touched a high of 15,831, and is now up 117 points at 15,805.

TCS and Infosys have surged around 4% each to Rs 551 and Rs 2,179, respectively. Wipro has rallied over 3% to Rs 562.

ACC has advanced over 2% to Rs 807. Tata Power, Tata Motors and Reliance Communications are the other significant gainers.

Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1.5% to Rs 265. HDFC Bank is down over 1% at Rs 1,469.
 
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,780 stocks traded so far, 1,909 have advanced and 782 have declined so far.
