Flowers for Pitroda
Business Standard / New Delhi November 08, 2009, 0:12 IST

The latest buzz in the capital is that Telecom Minister A Raja will be shifted soon and Sam Pitroda, the technocrat close to the Gandhi family, will take over. While a large part of the Congress feels Pitroda is not likely to succeed Raja because he is not interested in the job, hopes and wishes for Pitroda are increasing by the day. Last week, at a press conference, the Apollo group’s Prathap C Reddy publicly congratulated Pitroda for his “forthcoming assignment” and said he would send flowers to the technocrat.
