F&O: Nifty July fut adds 1.7 mn shares in OI

The Nifty July futures is trading at a discount of eight points at 4,345 as against the spot Nifty which is trading at 4,313(down 27points). Around 486,592 contracts have been traded so far. The open interest has increased by 1.73 million shares to 24.06million shares.

NIFTY CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,400 Call is trading at Rs 164, and 59,100 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Call has added 163,900 shares to open interest (OI). The 4,500 Call has seen trades of around 57,755 contracts and the 4,600 Call has seen trades of around 56,387 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 263,100 shares to OI, the latter has added 255,200 shares.

NIFTY PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,300 Put is trading at Rs 203, and 48,256contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Put has added 361,550 shares in open interest. The 4,000 Put has seen trades of around 48,551 contracts and the 4,100 Put has seen trades of around 37,987 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 167,550 shares to OI, the latter has added 172,200 shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK FUTURES

Reliance July future is the most active stock future with trades of around 27,506 contracts. The July future is trading at a premium of Rs seven, at Rs 2,014. The contract today has added 254,400 shares. Total OI now stands at 6.28 million shares. ONGC and Tata Steel are the other active stock futures. While ONGC OI has risen to over 3 million shares on addition of 607,275 shares, Tata Steel which is trading at Rs 394 (Rs 16 discount) has seen a net addition of over 159,676 shares to 14.40 million shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK OPTIONS

Reliance July Rs 2,160 Call is the most active stock option with trades of around 2,567 contracts. The Call is trading at Rs 63 with addition of 315,600 shares in OI to a total of 388,650 shares. Reliance Rs 2,100 Call and Tata Steel Rs 400 Call are the other active stock options. Reliance Rs 2,100 Call has added23,700 shares to total OI of 244,950 shares. It is trading at Rs 85. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call has seen a reduction of around 9,168 shares to 828,176 and is trading at Rs 26
