F&O: Nifty July fut at 8pts discount

The Nifty July futures is trading at a discount of eight points at 4,345 as against the spot Nifty which is trading at 4,352 (up 11 points). Around 147,660 contracts have been traded so far. The open interest has increased by 1.3 million shares to 23.64 million shares.

NIFTY CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,800 Call is trading at Rs 52.90, and 22,334 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Call has added 554,450 shares to open interest (OI). The 4,400 Call has seen trades of around 20,778 contracts and the 4,600 Call has seen trades of around 19,069 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 156,700 shares to OI, the latter has added 77,650 shares.

NIFTY PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,000 Put is trading at Rs 83.55, and 15,467 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Put has added 9,500 shares in open interest. The 4,300 Put has seen trades of around 13,776 contracts and the 4,100 Put has seen trades of around 12,972 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 99,500 shares to OI, the latter has added 61,450 shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK FUTURES

ONGC July future is the most active stock future with trades of around 11,647 contracts. The July future is trading at a marginal premium of Rs two, at Rs 1,147. The contract today has added 341,325 shares. Total OI now stands at 2.81 million shares. Educump Solutions and Reliance are the other active stock futures. While Educump Solutions OI has risen to 709,575 million shares on addition of 50,175 shares, Reliance which is trading at Rs 2,062 (Rs 6 premium) has seen a net addition of over 49,900 shares to 6.07 million shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK OPTIONS

Reliance July Rs 2,100 Call is the most active stock option with trades of around 491 contracts. The Call is trading at Rs 105 with addition of 2,100 shares in OI to a total of 223,350 shares. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call and MTNL Rs 110 Call are the other active stock options. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call has reduced 9,168 shares to total OI of 828,176 shares. It is trading at Rs 26.50. MTNL Rs 110 Call Call has seen a net addition of around 108,800 shares to 403,200 and is trading at Rs 8.
