F&O Update: Nifty July fut continue to trade at discount

The Nifty July futures is trading at a discount of 11 points at 4,319 as against the spot Nifty which is trading at 4,330 (down 60 points). Around 182,234 contracts have been traded so far. The open interest has increased by 2.69 million shares to 24.03 million shares.

NIFTY CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,600 Call is trading at Rs 96, and 39,564 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Call has added 218,600 shares to open interest (OI). The 4,500 Call has seen trades of around 39,558 contracts and the 4,400 Call has seen trades of around 35,602 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 341,400 shares to OI, the latter has added 203,700 shares.

NIFTY PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,200 Put is trading at Rs 156 and 48,315 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Put has added 242,600 shares in open interest. The 4,300 Put has seen trades of around 30,975 contracts and the 4,100 Put has seen trades of around 31,375 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 205,750 shares to OI, the latter has added 120,250 shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK FUTURES

HDIL July future is the most active stock future with trades of around 20,607 contracts. The July future is trading at a discount of Rs 5, at Rs 235. The contract has added 4.25 million shares. Total OI now stands at 15.66 million shares. GMR Infrastructure and Reliance are the other active stock futures. While GMR Infrastructure OI has risen to 32.54 million shares on addition of 6.30 million shares, Reliance which is trading at Rs 2,037 (Rs 5 premium) has seen a net reduction of over 52,200 shares in OI to 5.99 million shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK OPTIONS

Reliance July Rs 2,190 Call is the most active stock option with trades of around 1,893 contracts. The Call is trading at Rs 59 with 239% jump in OI at 325,950 shares, it has added 229,800 shares so far. Reliance Rs 2,100 Call and Tata Steel Rs 400 Call are the other active stock options. Reliance Rs 2,100 Call has added 46,650 shares to total OI of 164,550 180,150 shares. It is trading at Rs 97.Tata Steel Rs 400 Call has seen a net reduction of around 45,840 shares to 764,764 and is trading at Rs 27.
