F&O Update: Nifty July fut OI rises by 1.47 mn shares

The Nifty July futures is trading at a discount of six points at 4,288 as against the spot Nifty which is trading at 4,294 (up three points). Around 281,566 contracts have been traded so far. The open interest has increased by 1.47 million shares to 23.48 million shares.

NIFTY CALL ACTION

The Nifty 4,500 Call is trading at Rs 116, and 41,488 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Call has added 175,900 shares to open interest (OI). The 4,400 Call has seen trades of around 32,886 contracts and the 4,600 Call has seen trades of around 32,676 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 263,550 shares to OI, the latter has added 149,800 shares.

NIFTY PUT ACTION

The Nifty 4,000 Put is trading at Rs 96, and 48,565 contracts have been traded on the NSE so far. The Put has added 181,600 shares in open interest. The 4,200 Put has seen trades of around 32,536 contracts and the 4,100 Put has seen trades of around 31,259 contracts. While the former has seen a net addition of 42,800 shares to OI, the latter has added 13,450 shares.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK FUTURES

Reliance July future is the most active stock future with trades of around 16,229 contracts. The July future is trading at a premium of Rs 6, at Rs 2,018. The contract so far has added 205,500 shares. Total OI now stands at 6.15 million shares. ICICI Bank and HDIL are the other active stock futures. While ICICI Bank OI has risen to 10.33 million shares on addition of 480,900 million shares, HDIL which is trading at Rs 232 (Rs 5 discount) has seen a net addition of over 663,318 shares to 12.85 million shares in OI.

MOST ACTIVE STOCK OPTIONS

Reliance July Rs 2,100 Call is the most active stock option with trades of around 1,001 contracts. The Call is trading at Rs 91. In OI it has added 18,450 shares so far to 204,300 shares. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call and ICICI Bank Rs 700 Call are the other active stock options. Tata Steel Rs 400 Call has added 53,480 shares to total OI of 856,444 shares. It is trading at Rs 22. ICICI Bank Rs 700 Call has seen a net addition of around 13,600 shares to 1.55 million shares and is trading at Rs 67.
