Ford India launches Fiesta SXI priced at Rs 6.99-7.99 lakh

Carmaker Ford India today launched an advanced version of its mid-size sedan Fiesta, priced between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Fiesta SXI comes with an advanced 1.6 Duratec (petrol) and 1.4 Duratorq (common-rail, turbo diesel) engines, Ford India said in a statement.

"The new Fiesta SXI will make a statement with its premium new style persona. Based on our customer feedback, the new Fiesta SXI has been introduced to appeal to the young, suave and style-oriented professionals...," Ford India Executive Director (Marketing, Sales & Service) Nigel Wark said.

The new version will be available at Ford dealerships across India from August 3. While the petrol variant of the SXI is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh, the diesel one carries a price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh.

"This new Fiesta SXI will stand out amid the upper mid-size segment and will take Fiesta's premium status to the next level..." the company said.

The car comes with a two year/1, 00,000 kms warranty and an option to purchase 'Extended Warranty' covering it against electrical and mechanical failures for an additional period.

Ford India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of global auto major Ford Motor Company. The company's models include the Ikon, Fusion, Endeavour and the Fiesta.
