Foresight Opticals plans 25 new stores in 3 years

Foresight Opticals, the retail chain of optical stores from Foresight Vision Care Compnay Pvt Ltd, is planning to open 25 new stores in major cities across India in the next three years (by FY 2012-13).

Meanwhile, the company just opened its 8th store in Nashik, while other stores are located in Mumbai and Belgaon. Around 30 international brands, including Luxottica, Johnson & Johnson, Essilor and Ciba Vision, are sold in the optical stores. The company imports the best quality of brands in lenses and prescriptions frames directly from Europe.

“As part of our expansion plans, we are planning to open 25 new stores in the next three years. Out of 25, five stores will be opened in the next six month. We have identified some locations in Hydrabad, Bangalore, Pune and Delhi,” Yogesh Samat, COO, Foresight Vision Care Company Pvt Ltd, told Business Standard.

“We opened our first store in Mumbai in the year 2006 and we have been growing 150 per cent for the last three years. We expect 50 to 70 per cent year-on-year growth for the next three years,” he added.

Foresight Opticals offers a simple and transparent self-service driven store format. Several innovations such as free eye testing, free cleaning of frames under use and free home deliveries are add-on benefits of these stores.
