| Four more swine flu cases, total goes up to nine in J-K |

Four more patients tested positive to swine flu in Jammu and Kashmir today, taking the total number of cases in the state to nine, officials said.
"Out of the 12 test reports received today, four have been tested positive for flu, while eight have been negative. One more test sample has been sent to National Institute of Communicable Disease in Delhi," Dr R S Charak, incharge of isolation ward at Government Medical College, Jammu, told PTI.
Two of the fresh cases came from the house of an MBA girl student, who had returned here recently from Pune and was the first person in the state to test positive for swine flu.
"One is the tenant's child and another is a family member of the girl. They have been put on Tamiflu. Their condition is stable," the doctor said. Two other patients were students who have come from outside the state, he said adding that they too have been put on medicines.
The girl student is recovering fast, he said.
Two patients -- wife and daughter of an army officer who tested positive after their return to Srinagar from Bangkok, have returned to their home in Kolkata, Charak said.
The total test samples sent to NICD have gone up to 66. While 33 test reports have been received, rest are awaited.
The state government has set up two OPD-cum-isolation centres for swine flu cases at Shri Amarnath Yatri Niwas in Jammu and at a newly constructed building at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar.
