Freight rates remain flat on some support

Freight rates for ten metric tonne load section showed a flat trend in the local truck transport market today following sufficient position of trucks against cargo movements.

Transporters said trucks were easily available on demand so most of the centres freight rates remained at around overnight levels.

Following are today's rates for load of 10 per tonnes:

Ahmedabad   12,000
Hyderabad   32,000
Mumbai      20,000
Vijayawada  34,000
Baroda      14,000
Chennai     43,000
Pune        21,000
Bangalore   45,000
Surat       17,500
Mysore      46,000
Kanpur      11,000
Pondicherry 46,000
Kolkata     25,000
Coimbatore  47,000
Ludhiana    11,000
Kochi       50,000
Chandigarh   9,000
Thiruvananthapuram 60,000
Jaipur       9,000
Goa         36,000
Indore      12,500
Gwalior      8,500
Patna       20,000
Guwahati    43,000.
