| FUJIFILM storms Indian market with 14 new digital cameras |

FUJIFILM India Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, Japan, one of the world’s largest photographic solutions company, today announced the launch and availability of 14 exciting digital camera models into the Indian market.
FUJIFILM has launched four new models of its ‘A series’ compacts (AV100, AV150, AX200 & AX250) featuring high definition (HD) image & video capture for the first time on entry-level cameras. These are easy-to-use, produce great results, and are ideal for people who are investing in their first digital camera. Offering a combination of various mega pixel resolutions, Fujinon zoom lenses and LCD screen sizes, consumers will be able to choose a camera that perfectly suits their needs and budget, one that features all of FUJIFILM’s advanced technologies such as Automatic Scene Recognition, Face Detection, Digital Image Stabilization, high ISO sensitivity levels, Picture Search (as per the scene mode), and Panorama Shooting Mode which allows users to stitch three photos together to create a panoramic image (perfect for wide landscapes, tall buildings or large groups of people).

FUJIFILM has also launched four sleek models of its ‘J series’ family cameras (JV100, JV150, JX200 & JX250) that come with sculpted and sophisticated looks, and enable users to shoot images in HD. These cameras are loaded with advanced features like razor sharp Fujinon zoom lenses, Scene Recognition Auto, Panorama Shooting Mode, Movie Mode with Sound, Picture Search etc. The Smile & Shoot Mode works with FUJIFILM’s highly-acclaimed Face Detection technology to detect smiles on faces. It will not take a picture until it detects a smile. Another new feature is Blink Detection which warns users if they have captured an image with people blinking, so that they can re-shoot if necessary. The newly launched JV and JX models have a new feature - Targeting AF - which is perfect in case users need to take a picture of a moving subject and can’t keep the subject in the frame. As and when Targeting AF is switched on, it tracks the subject and ensures pictures with the subject in the centre of the frame in perfect focus.
FUJIFILM has announced a new long-zoom compact camera – the FinePix JZ300 that encompasses style, substance and affordability. With a 10x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens, advanced CCD-shift image stabilisation system, HD image and movie capture, 2.7” LCD screen and a 12 mega pixel resolution, the JZ300 offers a ‘best in class’ feature set which will suit a wide range of consumers. Other salient features of this camera include Targeting AF, Scene Recognition Auto, Picture Search and Portrait Enhancer (using FUJIFILM’s Double Noise Reduction image processing and Face Detection Technology).
For those who are avidly upload images on Facebook or share videos on YouTube etc., FUJIFILM has a new delight in FinePix Z700 – a stylish social networker. Successor to the popular FinePix Z series of cameras, this fun and fashionable camera has an impressive feature set: 12 mega pixel resolution, a Fujinon 5x optical zoom, HD image recording and a new YouTube/Facebook easy web upload facility.
FUJIFILM has added HD capability to its high performance 2010 digital camera line-up (FUJIFILM FinePix S1800 & S2500HD) as well. These 12 mega pixel cameras built around new 15x zoom and 18x zoom Fujinon lenses and FUJIFILM’s proprietary image processing deliver remarkably high quality results all the way from wide angle through to telephoto. Other features that make these cameras a must buy include Dual Image Stabilization, high ISO sensitivity, large and high resolution LCD screen with electronic viewfinder, Panorama Mode, Auto Picture Rotation, Scene Recognition Auto, Tracking AF, Face Detection with Smile & Shoot Mode as well as ‘Blink Detection’. Advanced features that has been added into these new ‘S series’ cameras are Instant Zoom, Zoom Bracketing, pre-programmed scene modes, micro thumbnail, natural light with flash mode, and photographic control.
An improvisation over the multiple-award winning FUJIFILM FinePix F70EXR, comes the all new jewellery-like F80EXR, a 10x zoom compact with a new high resolution 12 mega pixel Super CCD EXR sensor, 3” large high contrast LCD screen (viewable at 160 degrees vertically as well as horizontally), Face Recognition Technology (a new feature wherein faces of 8 people with their names can be pre-programmed in the camera for auto-identification), HD video capture, Super Intelligent Flash, Film Modes, DSLR-like Effects with Pro-Focus Mode, Pro Low-light Mode (with Multi Frame Technology), Tracking AF, EXR Priority Modes and EXR Auto Modes, Dual Image Stabilization, and the world’s first dog/cat detection capability. FUJIFILM has developed a new Pet Detection feature. It’s difficult to get cats and dogs to sit still long enough to take a good shot. In the Scene Mode settings, “Cat” and “Dog” are two new modes which ensure that users get a good picture of the pet. This works in a similar way to Face Detection, but can only take front on images, not profile shots. What’s more, with the optional waterproof case and underwater mode, the revolutionary F80EXR allows users to dive into another world of photography. The new Auto Picture Rotation added in means that whether you have taken a landscape or portrait image, you can enjoy your pictures whichever way around you are holding the camera, as the image will rotate in the screen or PC to suit.
One of the more advanced cameras launched by FUJIFILM amidst its new introductions is the FinePix HS10 – an extreme long zoom camera with high speed capture and unique features qualifies for the ultimate ‘all in one’ photographer’s camera title.
