The shares of construction company Gammon India rose 5.50 per cent to close at Rs 228.25 after delivering a net profit of Rs 21.29 crore in Q4 FY08 compared to a net loss of Rs 31.90 crore in Q4 FY07.
The company announced the results after market hours on June 30. For the year ended March 2008, the company's net profit rose 93.7 per cent to Rs 86.15 crore on a 25.8 per cent increase in net sales to Rs 2344.91 crore.
The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 239.70 and a low of Rs 204. It has corrected by 43.88 per cent in the last one month.
