Geometric Software rebrands itself as Geometric

MUMBAI, India. January 21, 2008: As part of a long range strategic plan aimed at taking the company to a leadership position in global engineering, Geometric has embarked on a journey of transformation. Moving up from being solely a software services company, Geometric has significantly diversified its portfolio.
 
 
Recognizing the broader portfolio under which it operates, the Company has been renamed Geometric Limited, from the earlier Geometric Software Solutions Company Limited. There has been no change in the management or structure of the company. With this change, the use of the acronym ‘GSSL’ to refer to the company, is also ended formally.
 
 
The other companies in the Geometric group have been renamed as follows:

As a means to strengthen the brand under which the multiple businesses and subsidiaries operate, every one of them will now adopt the ‘Geometric’ brand, to effectively project the synergies in competencies across engineering, PLM and technology.
 
 
The corporate website is now www.geometricglobal.com and the email domain address is changed to @geometricglobal.com.

For its consolidated operations for the year ending March 2007, the company recorded revenues of 3.95 Billion Rupees (85 Million US Dollars), with market capitalization of 6.2 Billion Rupees (142 Million US Dollars).
 
The company has two main business subsidiaries. Geometric Engineering, Inc., formerly Modern Engineering, Inc., headquartered in Rochester Hills MI, provides product engineering and manufacturing engineering solutions to the automotive and industrial sectors.
 
 
Geometric Technologies, Inc., formerly TekSoft, Inc., headquartered in Phoenix AZ, develops and supplies cutting-edge productivity solutions for manufacturing operations.
 
 
Geometric employs over 3000 people delivering solutions from 10 global delivery locations in the US, France, Romania, India, and China. The company is assessed at SEI CMMI Level 5 for its softwareservices and the engineering operations are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
 
 
Geometric has a joint venture with Dassault Systèmes, 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd., which was set up in 2002 with an equity participation of 70% and 30% respectively.
