Glenmark, Piramal Life Sciences, SMS Pharma & Wyeth Q3 results

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals consolidated net profit in the December quarter declined 70.91 per cent to Rs 81.43 crore, compared to Rs 280 crore in the December quarter last year. Consolidated net revenue also declined to Rs 581.38 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year from Rs 679.39 crore a year ago.
 
Piramal Life Sciences net loss at Rs 26 cr

Mumbai: Piramal Life Sciences recorded a net loss of Rs 25.91 crore in the third quarter ended 2008. The total revenue of the company stood at Rs 1.76 crore in the latest quarter. The scrip got listed with the exchanges on May 29 last year. Figures for the previous quarter and nine months are not available for comparison, the company said.

SMS Pharma net dips 9% to Rs 2 cr

Mumbai: SMS Pharmaceuticals reported a 9.58 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 1.98 crore in the third quarter ended December 2008, compared to Rs 2.19 crore in the same quarter of FY08. Net sales rose to Rs 61.50 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 38.61 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Wyeth Q3 net up 19% to Rs 20.79 cr

Mumbai: Pharmaceutical firm Wyeth said its net profit in the December quarter grew 18.52 per cent at Rs 20.79 crore over the corresponding year-ago period. The drug maker had a net profit of Rs 17.54 crore in the December quarter last year. Total income from operations rose to Rs 94.04 crore in the third quarter from Rs 84.36 crore a year ago.
