Globsyn Group inks MoU with Gujarat government for IMC
BS Reporter / Mumbai/ Ahmedabad Sep 02, 2009, 00:23 IST

Kolkata-based Globsyn Group on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Gujarat to set up an Institutional Management Committee (IMC) to impart industry intensive courses.

IMC will introduce and run innovative courses which will impart such training which is in sync with the requirements of the industry.

To begin with, Globsyn will start specialized skill development centers across Gujarat for imparting necessary skills in Entrepreneurship/ Family Business Management, through its institute, Asian Institute of Family Business (AIFB) and other specialized skills through their Knowledge Finishing School (KFS) concept.

The Institute Management Committee (IMC) shall be constituted and registered as a Society under the relevant Societies Registration Act, a company release stated.

The IMC would be managing the affairs of the programmes as laid out in the MoU.

The committee to be formed will engage in deciding the infrastructure and formation of contents and other facilities for the institutional development, the release further stated.

Speaking on the development in the release, Bikram Dasgupta, chairman, Globsyn Group, said, "We are delighted to be a part of Gujarat government's initiative to provide quality education. Our concepts on family business management and KFS will pave way for introducing innovative techniques and curriculum in line with the global requirements. Through IMC, Globsyn aims to introduce specialized knowledge and skills that will strengthen every individual’s inherent skills and make him a leader in the competitive world."

According to Dasgupta, the state of Gujarat is flux with many small and medium sized enterprises.

"Our endeavor will be to provide suitable human resource solutions to heighten the pace of development. If we can create growth in Gujarat's highly potential SME sector, through our Center of Excellence in Family Business clinics, we would feel it has been worth it," Dasgupta added.

The Industries Commissionerate as well as Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Government of Gujarat, would facilitate Globsyn Technologies to obtain necessary permission and registrations from concerned departments of the state and central government and would also help to avail incentives and government support under various schemes.
