Speaking to the media on the sidelines of inaugurating a workshop-cum-showroom in the city, Ankush Arora, vice-president (marketing), GMI, said by the year end the company would have 145 sales outlets and 160 service centres across India. Of this, 12 centres would come up in Tamil Nadu including Thanjavur, Nagerkoil, Ooty, Tirupur and Chidambaram.

The company currently has 117 sales outlets and 127 service centres across the country, which include 8 sales point and 9 service outlets in Tamil Nadu.

On new products and services, Arora said the company was looking at setting up roadside assistance centres along major national highways for Chevrolet customers.

The company also plans to enter the used car market in a big way. The plan is in the initial stage and is expected to materialise before year-end.
