GMR Energy Limited (GEL), a subsidiary of Bangalore-based infrastructure major, GMR Infrastructure Ltd, has nominated three of its directors, B V Nageswara Rao, Raaj Kumar and Ashis Basu on the board of Homeland Energy Group Ltd (HEG), Canada representing 50 per cent of the board.

Homeland Energy Group of Canada through its subsidiaries has major interest in coal projects in South Africa including an operating mine and also other investment in uranium exploration company among others.
