Gold prices gained Rs 20, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 18,663 per ten gram in futures trade today, as speculators enlarged their positions on good demand in the spot market in view of festive season.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, gold for October gained Rs 20, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 18,663 per ten gram, with an open interest of 19,663 lots.

Market analysts said positions enlarged by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market mainly led to a rise in gold prices at futures trade.
