| Govt begins hunt for first Institute of Corp Affairs' CEO |

The government has started search for the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Indian Institute of Corporates Affairs (IICA), coming up at Gurgaon.
The IICA, promoted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, would act as a independent think-tank and provide action research, capacity building and service delivery to the ministry.
The DG and CEO of the IICA would be "appointed for five years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier," a public announcement posted on the MCA's website said.
The appointment shall be made on the basis of the recommendations of a Search-cum Selection Committee, it said.
Underlining the criteria for the post, the announcement said the applicant should be a person with eminent academic credentials in the field of Corporate Affairs and should be an able administrator with proven leadership qualities.
The government has allocated Rs 211 crore for the institute, which has been established in the lines of IITs and IIMs, during the 11th Plan period, of which Rs 47 crore have been given this fiscal.
