Grasim finally ended with a loss of over 7% at Rs 2,509. Around 273,500 shares changed hands at the counter on the BSE.

Grasim opened at Rs 2,650, hit a high of 2,670 and a low of 2,492 and is currently trading at Rs 2,581, down 4.4% or 119 points.
The board of Grasim has approved the demerger of the cement business into its arm, Samruddhi Cement as a part of its restructuring plans. And Samruddi will be listed after the demerger.
