GTL Infrastructure (GIL) has posted reduced net losses of Rs 1.40 crore in third quarter ended December 31, 2008, compared with a net loss of Rs 16 crore recorded during the same period of previous financial year.
The shared telecom infrastructure major’s total income rose to Rs 75.47 crore during the period under review, a 67.41 per cent increase from Rs 45.08 crore recorded during the comparable period last year, the company said in a release here today. The net losses were on account of a tax provision and other income of around Rs 17 crore recorded during the quarter.
Other income in the comparable quarter stood at around Rs 7 crore. The company’s operating profit for the quarter stood at Rs 29.56 crore (51.04 per cent of revenue), as against Rs 19.64 crore (52.69 per cent of revenue) recorded during the same quarter a year ago.
