Haier Appliances launches water heaters in India

Haier Appliances, a home appliances brand worldwide, today announced its foray into a new business category in India.

The announcement came with the launch of Haier's range of electric Spa water heaters. Specially designed for Indian consumers, the new offering is a result of extensive research of Indian market & consumer needs.

Haier Spa water heater has the unique Haier patented 'SafeCare Technology', that ensures protection for the user from any power shocks due to leakage of electric current on the water heater or faulty grounding wire system.

Thick PUF insulation in Haier Spa reduces standing heat loss and power consumption. Dual imported thermostat and highly efficient heating element in Spa water heaters ensures the dual advantage of getting quick hot water as well as constant hot water at a consistent temperature.

Speaking on Spa water heaters, Anurag Srivastava, PGH-Water Heater Division, Haier Appliances India said: "The 'SafeCare Technology' is in accordance with IEC standards and many countries are considering it as a safety standard for various appliances. Haier Spa water heaters are designed for high working pressure of eight bars, which is more than double of ordinary water heaters and ideal for high rise buildings or where pressure pumps are used."

Haier Spa water heaters will be available in two variants, electronically controlled P series and M series with mechanical controls. The Spa P series is available in 15, 25 & 35 liters and M series in 10, 15 & 25 liters. This complete premium range of Spa water heaters would be available in all leading stores across India and will carry a price range of Rs 6,500 to Rs 10,260.

Haier India is 100 per cent subsidiary of Haier Group, which started its commercial operations in January 2004.

In India, the company's product range includes Haier colour televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, freezers for commercial & medical usage and recently introduced Spa range of water heaters. Haier Products are available across India at all major retail outlets.
